This week has seen a critical update to the WordPress core released. The update covers a few newly discovered security issues and WordPress.org strongly encouraged users to update their themes.

As is generally the norm with such a core update many plugins being used by WordPress websites may require updating, too.

To ensure your site suffers as little downtime as possible we generally find updating plugins, then themes and lastly the core is the safest way of updating your site.
